Thirty Years of Experience Working for You

Why take a risk on your biggest investment? If you had $200,000.00 dollars to invest in the stock market, would you pick any old broker? Would you trust it with a hot-shot kid fresh out of business school sitting in front of a computer--day trading in the AM and partying in the PM. No way! You would try your very best to find someone who has experience--someone who has stood the test of time and someone with a reputation to keep. Right?

Don't stand for anything less when investing in your home.

Put my thirty-plus years of experience to work on your home. Frank Postlewait Construction is unlike other high-overhead builders filled with many "Jack's of the trade but masters of none." My biggest assets are my years of high quality service and my constant attention to the changing nature of home building technology. I will never put a second-rate subcontractor to work on you home. My network of craftsmen quality professionals insure the highest quality finished product.

I specialize in personalized "Construction Management." Unlike high demand builders that rarely meet with their customers, I will walk you through your project from A-Z. You have total access every step of the way. Because I insist on producing a high quality product I limit the number of projects I will take at any given time. Like I said--it's personalized.

Now, that sounds expensive doesn't it? Not necessarily. In fact most of my customers find that less hassle, less changes, less cost overruns, less run-around end up saving them money in the long run.

Your Own Personal "Bob Villa," What?

You know Bob Villa if you are a fan of PBS homebuilding and remodeling shows. I don't actually know Bob and if you can afford him then go ahead and give him a call (here's his number (617) 848-8452). What I mean by "Your Own Personal Bob Villa," is by hiring Frank Postlewait Construction you get an expert parexcelance.

Building a high quality dream home all about hiring the appropriate construction manager. Now, anybody with a clipboard, boots, and a hard hat can claim to manage construction projects. But what you want is a Construction Manager--capital "C," capital "M."

Frank Postlewait Construction builds homes strictly on a "Construction Management" basis. This means functioning as a builder does, but you have more control over the building process. You are able to participate in the decisions, selections, work equity, and construction quality, which means that you are the final decision maker on the construction of your new home.

Here are some of the advantages of Construction Management?
  • Fixed fee for building your home.
  • No extra fees for upgrading your selections.
  • You can save costs by doing some things yourself.
  • Owners have more design options on what goes into the home.
  • Ultimate decisions may be made by the customer.
  • Organization, contracting, and supervision by a seasoned professional.
  • Estimates, bids and recommendations provided.
  • Construction Manager provides the expertise to build a quality home.

Good Craftmenship is a Way of Life

I have been in the home building industry all of my adult life, over 35 years. I started as an apprentice carpenter, then progressed to carpenter, framing contractor, remodeling contractor, construction supervisor, and, finally, home builder. Additionally, I am a licensed Johnson County Kansas builder.

I have been in different facets of construction for over 27 years. This has included, house framing, remodeling, supervision and home building. For the few years I have been developing my business as a Construction Manager. What this means is that I contract to supervise & coordinate each project for a flat fee based primarily on the size of the home. This allows the owners to have as much or as little involvement in the process as they desire.

I also work with the owners in selection and hiring of subcontractors as much as they desire. In fact although I have specific sub-contractors which I customarily do business, the owners have final say on who is or is not used as a supplier or subcontractor. Additionally, if an upgrade is desired in a specific area or areas, the cost is only the direct cost of the upgrade since I take not additional fees on upgrades or reasonable changes. I believe that my variety of experience uniquely qualifies me to complete your project with insight and quality assurance.

Most of my business comes from referrals or former customers. If you are considering a new home please let me talk to you. If a friend is considering a new home please pass my name to them. I believe that my methods will produce a new home for you at a fair price & higher quality.

I also continue to do other types of contracting for homeowners and light commercial. My experience includes; basement finishes, room additions, remodeling & repair, tenant finishes, and church additions & improvements.
